Fall Ball Registration

RLL FALL BASEBALL and SOFTBALL Program

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM: Fall Ball is an instructional program consisting of instructional practices and games at the Robbinsville Little League Facilities and other District 12 little league complexes.  There will be some light Travel involved for this program.  If you love the sport of baseball and are looking to have fun, continue your development as a player and get ready for the Spring then this is for you.  Registrants will have opportunities to play at multiple positions and learn new skills.  Volunteer Coaches and the Members of the RLL Board do all that we can to make this program a fun and relaxed atmosphere for our players to learn and prepare for the spring season. There are no playoffs, scores are kept for some divisions but without standings. Volunteers are always needed so please indicate your interest when registering.

HOW LONG IS THE FALL SEASON: The Fall Ball Season will run from September or so to late-October.  This will be dependent on the weather.

WHAT TO EXPECT: When you sign up and register for fall ball the RLL League will provide your child with a Shirt and Hat (Baseball Only) but we will not be providing pants or socks.  Players will wear pants and socks from the a previous season or will purchase what you need if you are a first time player.  Light Travel to other districts for away games.  Their will be no playoffs or standings for Fall Ball.

HOW MANY GAMES AND PRACTICES CAN BE EXPECTED: For Soft Ball Divisions: There is typically one game per week, on Fridays at 6pm for younger teams and 8pm for Majors. One double header when it’s warmer may be scheduled, that would be 6 and 7:30pm on Fridays. (1h 20 minute time limits). It’s possible a Saturday or Sunday game may be scheduled. We try to always schedule Fridays as much as possible since other fall sports go on during the weekend. For Baseball Divisions: There are typically 2 games per week, preferably on Fridays, Saturday or Sundays but games can be scheduled during the week as well (This is dictated and scheduled by the Assigned Team Managers for Home and Away games).

FIELD PREPERATIONS:
By registering your child to play in our fall baseball or the softball program, you agree to help the volunteer manager's and coaches with field preparations for practices and games when asked. In the event of rain, it will be up to your team to get the field into a playable condition. The League will support you as much as possible with providing supplies, but ultimately it comes down to volunteers on your team to prepare fields.

WHEN CAN I REGISTER: Registration will be open from August 1, 2019 to August 30, 2019.

FALL BASEBALL

16 ADMINISTRATIVE RULES

16.01 Fall Baseball in District 12 is a training and development program administered by the Presidents of District 12. The season is expected to run from just after Labor Day until the first week in November. Leagues participating in the program charge their own fee, provide uniforms, share in umpire fees and provide baseballs. Your Little League Baseball charter covers participation in this program.

In preparation for the fall baseball season two meetings are held to review the rules, age groupings and schedule. The first includes a single representative from each participating league to go over organizational matters, rules (regular season rules), team makeup, and season parameters. A second meeting for all team managers to put together their schedule is then held one week in advance of the start of the season.

To facilitate this process, one participating District 12 President and League serve as the organizers of the two meetings. Responsibilities include: notifying all leagues in mid August of the meeting dates, times, and locations; securing meeting locations; conducting the organizational meeting; facilitating the scheduling process; and providing the District Administrator with an end of season report and participation summary. Organizing league will develop contact lists and distribute to all managers before the first weekend of games.

16.02 In an effort to enable leagues to plan ahead and to ensure that every league has ample opportunity to determine their participation, the following rotation will determine which league is responsible for Fall Baseball Organization:
